El Presidente Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago One gift under $100 you would recommend for someone like yourself? It's that time of the year and I am sure you have heard this before "give me an idea!....you are the hardest person in the world to buy for!" I normally answer a Franck Muller Crazy Hours in blue, green or black dial with Casablanca/Cintrex case. Unfortunately Di's love doesn't stretch $15-$20 K. I will try and be better next year So good people. We enjoy a great hobby together and likely have have similar interests. Given that's the case, what have you seen lately that: Spiked your interest. Is under $100 Is not a Gift Card are not Whiskey Rocks/Stones Link if possibe 2
Gubbins Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I’d take a half decent bottle of aftershave. Ombré leather or something of the sorts. You can’t get much worth having for less than $100 these days. I'm a sucker for buying used off Facebook market place, but unfortunately most of my hobbies have high buy-ins. Maybe a house plant / ornament or a portable speaker? 🤷🏻♂️ 1
Ford2112 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago 100 bucks? A Cohiba Siglo 6. Wait is that under 100?
mikejh Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago In the US we have a growing number of options for shipping regional food all over the country, bbq from Texas, pizza from New York, I’d go for something like that. 3
Dr vonPuffenberg Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Probably a tie between whiskey stones and that whiskey glass with a cigar shelf molded in 🤣. Throw in a couple NC Montes and Cohibas while you’re at it. I usually appreciate something quality and American made like a leather wallet. I love cooking so something quality for the kitchen is always appreciated. 1
DOYLE Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago In high school, my best friend and his older brother would each buy a $50 gift card to the same store for each other 🤣 It was brilliant. I'm one of those hard to buy for people because I don't want much and if I want something I buy it myself. I always tell people, don't buy me a gift, just come hang out with me and that's the best gift they can give me, their company and time. My go to's are: - take me out to a decent dinner, nothing too fancy, or cook me dinner - book me a massage - a bunch of hiking / backpacking snacks and meals (https://www.rei.com/c/food) - a bottle of booze is always welcome, a unique mezcal perhaps (https://www.magueymelate.com/shop/?orderby=price) - tickets to a local sports game and pay for my food and drinks when we're there 2 1

loose_axle Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago $100 would be books/ vinyl or a bottle of rum/ whisky that wasn't too fancy. The El Dorado 15 and Redbreast 12 often hit a special at $99 so likely that. 3
Lucas Buck Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Experience over stuff. Dinner, sporting event, concert, theater, wine tasting, day trip etc. Buying my wife vip tickets for our annual Pork & Brews Fest. Four hours of all the beer and bacon you want. Always a great time. $65 3

JohnS Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago One gift for myself? Under $100? Any bottle of Lanson, Taittinger or Pol Roger Champagne around or under that price, naturally. 3
Li Bai Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 5 hours ago, El Presidente said: I can see Gil rocking this in Paris. Well Rob, you've definitely figured me out 😂🤣🤣 35 minutes ago, JohnS said: Too funny, but I know that @Li Bai greatly values his safety when travelling around Paris, especially the outer suburbs. That's right, I'd advise anyone with similar tastes not to rock it in some Parisian arrondissements, you might get yourself in trouble 😉 3

cnov Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm genuinely not fussed about presents at Christmas, if I want or need something I generally buy it. If someone could think of something I'd actually want then brilliant, but just having a wild stab because I'm a man/dad, don't worry, just say merry Christmas and save the cash! The post Christmas tidy up usually reveals last year shit gifts as I try to hide them away in that draw of crap. 3
Çnote Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Classics: (I have either given these to acclaim or been given these with remembrance) Champagne, liquor, decanter, ice bucket, vintage crystal vase, serious kitchen knife, coravin, serious wine book, serious chef book, wine coaster, bullet proof phone case, leather passport book/wallet/etc, valet tray, fountain pen, origami paper and book, classic silk tie or vintage pocket square, journal subscriptions, le cruset, functional tea kettle, a real knife sharpening stone, high end hair curling iron (don't forget the ladies), cigar/cheese/hot sauce/tinned fish of the month, frozen pastries, untrimmed subprimal meats, whole fresh fish, #10 sack of oysters, live lobsters, bonsai with manual and tools, 60qt stock pot, wine tote, backpack. Things I've bought or considered recently: various pocket knives, turned wood phone speaker, travel steamer/iron. @El Presidente I'd get you a bottle of Chinato and maybe #5 crawfish. 1
ha_banos Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 76.53£? Lemme think.... A bottling of signatory (unpeated!) whisky. A couple Plasencia cigars to try. Out for a decent burger or rodizio might just both of us in for that these days. No more junk please. 1

Your "Classics" list is 95% me, too. Throw in pocket knives, grilling/griddle/smoker accessories, and cooking seasonings (think BBQ seasoning shakers from cooker teams, etc) and I'm a happy guy. Sadly, I was a recipient of that horrendous cocktail glass with cigar cutout set last year. Appreciated the thought, but it's just an absurd concept in so many ways. Condensation would immediately invite burn issues for the cigar, and it's hot where I live 9 months a year... They've never been removed from the box.
